Making passport for Malaysian baby 👶
Keep It Short and Simple
Documents that are required
1) baby’s birth certificate original and photocopy x1
2) parent’s IC original and photocopy x1 (can be mother or father to sign)
Fee
1) RM 100 (as per dated on July 2019)
Things to be prepared
1) advisable to wear dark colors or they will give your baby a black coat or shawl (can you imagine thousands of baby worn it before 🤢)
— my jayden zai’s new outfit from taobao —
2) get up early - even though baby below 2 years old can get priority lane but I believe that earlier would be better as the number of passports (the 📚) to be ready is lesser, therefore waiting time is shorter.
3) prepare a bottle of milk- you need to wait for 1 hour to get the passport (there is a nursing room but I was more comfortable to bottle feed him that time, but i changed his diaper in the room)
Overview of the procedures
1) get all the documents (original and photocopy) ready and walk to the queue number counter to get a Q number (given by pegawai)
2) wait for call and proceed to the counter - photo taking session
3) wait for another call (same Q number) to proceed to the payment counter, get your receipt 🧾 and the 1 hour counts from the time they issue the receipt.
4) wait for the last call and sign on your passport
5) Bye
